Alumni Meet - 2021

Department of Geology, V.O.Chidambaram College has conducted ‘Alumni Meet – 2021’ on October 2, 2021, through virtual mode. More than 60 participants have contributed their presence for the meet. The welcome note is addressed by Dr.P. Sivasubramaniam, Head and Associate  Professor of Geology. Mr.Karthik, Asst.Prof of Geology, has delivered the guest introduction. Dr.Edwin Mosses, Senior Project Manager, Green Energy and Environmental Services, Qatar  has been invited as Guest of honor. His discourse has voiced out his own journey, support for the students, and global opportunities in various fields of Geology. Following him, M.G. Murugan, a Scientific officer in Atomic Mineral Directorate; Dr.Arthur James, Head and Associate Professor of Marine Science, Bharathidasan University; Shanmugavel; Dr. Darwin Felix, Geologist, Geolog International, Angola, West Africa; R.V.Vairavan, Senior Geologist, Geological survey of india also have shared their knowledge on relevant fields. Resolutions are taken with all our heart that our department will organize frequent alumni meets and will strengthen the Alumni Association.  The event has successfully concluded with a thanks note of Dr.Antony Ravindran, Asst.Prof of Geology. The entire event is hosted by Dr.S.Selvam, Asst.Prof of Geology.
